Compound alginates and proprietary indigestion preparations
Notes:
- Alginate containing products have low acid suppressant activity and should be reserved for patients with reflux symptoms.
- Peptac® contains sodium alginate 250mg, sodium bicarbonate 133.5mg and calcium carbonate 80mg in 5ml. Peptac® has been included as the first choice alginate.
- Infacol® contains activated dimeticone and may be useful in gripes, colic or wind pains.
